I'd rather be knitting
Well it is now April...man 2008 is flying by. I guess that could also be because the first 3.5 months of this year I was holed up writing a dissertation and defending it. Now with the little motivation that I do have, the revisions are almost done. I just don't want to do them. I am tired of looking at this stuff. I want to do something else ( Read more... ) -

Well, not much going on since my last post. Finished the first Noro Monkey sock and to prevent myself from being sick of the yarn and getting second sock syndrome, I started another Monkey using Opal Rainforest--Bumblebee color. Coming up for air!!
Well, dissertation is done!! Dissertation defense is done and now I am official!! Still going to take awhile to get used to being Dr. It sounds soooo strange. I don't feel any different than before and the defense itself was rather anti-climactic, but I was still a nervous wreck. Just a right of passage ( Read more... ) -

They say patience is a virtue right? Normally I can't say I'm good at that but finally something is going right. So with the live journal secret pal 4 they have fixed things so an angel will send me a package for June and I get a new pal for July. I guess things seem to be working out with the LJ Secret Pal, but time will tell. I need to figure out when my pal is getting back to the US so I can send out her last package. I have everything I need, I just need to put the package together for her. It should be fun. I've had a good time spoiling her over the last 3 months. I think she has ( Read more... ) -
i thought LJ secret pal 4 was supposed to be fun.....grrrrr
So, it is now July 13 and I was supposed to have a package from my secret pal by the end of June....and I still don't have it. Not very nice. Every day I eagerly look forward to checking the mailbox and looking outside my apartment door to see if there is a package and still not one. Finished Cargo Pants!!!
I just finished Knitty's Cargo Pants for my friends' baby, Thomas. YAY!!! They are soooo adorable and I picked out buttons that are little tractors...they are cute.
