So, it is now July 13 and I was supposed to have a package from my secret pal by the end of June....and I still don't have it.  Not very nice.  Every day I eagerly look forward to checking the mailbox and looking outside my apartment door to see if there is a package and still not one.  I haven't even heard from her since the last package I got at

That's a drag that you haven't heard--how completely irritating. I usually get burned in swaps. Example: The was a sock yarn swap recently, I sent out Claudia's Hand painted, my partner sent me horrid, scratchy Knitpicks!!

Hello Heather! Yes, it is frustrating. The moderators for the swap got back to me after I emailed them several times. They haven't gotten any email responses from her about anything and her partner never heard about her receiving her package. They said that I will get a package even if it is sent from an angel. Still rather frustrating, but what can you do. Thankfully, the moderators have been really helpful.
I have never used Claudia's Hand painted but from what you have said, maybe I should give a shot. I should use up a lot of what I have first.

So, you are a Penn Stater too. Maybe we should get together and knit sometime. I would like to meet other knitters in the area as my good friend who got me on knitting moved to Seattle about a year ago. :(
