Morlith! It's so wonderful to hear from you again! Eee! I am still around on LJ. My journal entries have become friends-only (I started to get paranoid of having my writings be publically available on the Net).
I am doing quite well, thank you! I hope all has been going well in your world too? It's been such a long time, and I still have print-outs of our LJ dialogue and conversations (especially the one where you teased Lanakila of blushing so much and that's the reason why bald eagles have white cheek feathers). *grin*
Thanks for stopping by, Morlith! It's wonderful to hear from you again! :>
Will add you to my Journal!lanakilaJuly 3 2006, 22:03:51 UTC
Good evening, Red Izak! I'm glad to see that you're into gryphons, birds of prey, and eagles! Weee! I shall add you back to my Journal, since I write "friends-only" entries these days.
Thanks for your interest in my Journal! How did you find me? *grin*

Hello!
I found you through thornwolf's journal (I'm not on her flist, but I commissioned her a few years ago for some art and still peruse her public entries), and I was happy to see someone else read "Catamount"!
I'd love to hear any nature/raptor stories; my cousin runs the Institute for Environmental Learning (scroll down to the "I"s) up in upstate NY, is a licensed falconer, and when I visited him last he had two bald eagles at his place (one of which I remember as an immature, and have pictures in the family album with her on my arm), as well as a red-tailed hawk, a barred owl and several screech owls

Good morning, Tanya!
Thank you for your comment! It's wonderful to meet other individuals who have read Michael Peak's novel Catamount. I have to say, Catamount is my absolute favourite novel of all time! I love the bald eagle character of "Lanakila" and have chosen to adopt his name as my online Internet personal since 1995. I read the book when it first came out onto the market back in 1992. I remember that I couldn't put the book down. Just like today's Harry Potter fans who want to read the novel all throughout the night, I purposely woke up from my nighttime slumber and finished reading Catamount. Being a bald eagle fan, I naturally fell in love with Lanakila's personality! *grin*
I have Michael Peak's only other novel he ever published: Cat House, which was his first novel. *smiles* Loved both books, but Catamount is my absolute fave

You haven't posted in a few years, but I thought I'd leave a comment to see if you were still around or not.
I hope you're doing well if you are!
