Today was breathtaking. The sun was shining, the water of Puget Sound was sparkling, my family was on Bainbridge with nothing to do but spend the day together. Joanne and the boys came out to Bainbridge today. We had fun swimming in the pool and playing tennis. My nephew, Nate, just couldn't stay away from the water, so I finally stripped him down and brought him in. So, it turned out that Chloe had a bad cold or flu, but the liquids really helped and she was able to come home 24 hours later. Also, since it was easier to take care of her than they thought, I got reimbursed about $400. So it was still expensive, but I was lucky to get some money back and a healthy kitty back. I escaped to the paradise of Bainbridge for the weekend. I spent Friday picking flowers from the garden. As of today, I am officially caught up on my to-do list. Every bill is paid. All thank you notes are written. I have new Michelin tires on my lovely Luna car, all e-mails are answered and sent, my hair is cut, my prescription has been filled, and I've got fruit and yogurt and mouthwash from the store. I had a really wonderful birthday. I can't believe that I turned 35. Joanne, Rachel, Jen and Andy, Jen and Troy, Maggie, and Amy all came to Buddha Belltown to meet me for dinner, and it was amazing and wonderful and beautiful to be surrounded by my good friends and loved ones on my special day. I'm having a good time down in Dallas with my brother and Stef. We went to the parade on Saturday with Lauren and a bunch of other people, but it was very cold this year.
