They moved Dad out of ICU this morning and back to a regular room. They are talking about letting him go home tomorrow. So, we'll see. -
Dad update
They moved Dad down to ICU today. The hospital is an older one and doesn't have bathrooms in the patient rooms. They have portables on a frame, but Dad was just walking down the hall to the bathroom. It wasn't a long distance, but he experienced some shortness of breath today, and mentioned it to the nurse. Next thing he knew, they were doing a ( Read more... ) -
Dad made it about a year
between hospital stays. He has pneumonia and when he went to see his doctor yesterday the doc told Dad he wanted him check into the hospital. So he's been in the Geneva hospital since yesterday afternoon. He's been on antibiotics and receiving breathing treatments every 4 hours, and his coughing actually sounds much better today. Uncle Update
My uncle is going to be ok. He has a broken collar bone and various cuts and bruising, especially around his jaw/mouth. He was hit by a pickup truck and it ran over his shoulder/neck area, forcing his face to scrape against the road, which is why his jaw is hurting. I've been on vacation since Thursday. I went to Pennsic on Thursday just for the day and hung out with Maggie. We did a circuit through the merchants and grabbed some rice from the Delights of Cathay. I babysat my brother's kids for a while this afternoon. On my way there, I had to stop at the stoplight by the Madison Walmart, and I noticed the van in front of me had an SCA sticker on the window. It was black and white, and was one of those that just says "SCA" and has a heraldic mantle around it. I have a Middle Kingdom sticker on my back ( Read more... ) -

I'm finally checking out Live Journal after almost 2 weeks. I had some issues with my laptop and couldn't boot it up one morning. So, after trying to start it in safe mode, regular mode, and several other things, I finally got out my recovery disks and managed to get it up and running. It's an HP and is 1.5 yrs old. Afternoon of Fun was fun, but hot! I arrived just before noon, and spent the next 4 hours helping Tangwystl with troll. Well, rather, she did troll and I mostly took raffle ticket money for the Elizabethan/Tudor style jewelry that Elena donated to raffle off.
