I'm finally checking out Live Journal after almost 2 weeks. I had some issues with my laptop and couldn't boot it up one morning. So, after trying to start it in safe mode, regular mode, and several other things, I finally got out my recovery disks and managed to get it up and running. It's an HP and is 1.5 yrs old. I'm back to IE6, but I think that's better than IE7, which had quit working for me anyway (it wouldn't load webpages). I was using Firefox and I decided I like that better so I downloaded it again. I didn't lose all my photos or word files, though I did lose some of my more recent favorites. I'm also still having issues with Adobe Acrobat. It just won't open. It says the version I have is 6.0. I discovered it isn't working when I tried to open a PDF and it wouldn't open or close out so I had to do an end task on it. Then when I tried to shut down it popped up a message saying there was still a dialogue open in acrobat reader and to open it and remove it. Well, I couldn't get it to open, so I had to put the computer in hibernation as I couldn't shut down earlier. So, I'm thinking of trying to upgrade to a more recent version of Adobe and see if that takes care of the problem. Other than that I'm not sure what will help unless I uninstall and reinstall, but I'll have to look at their website and see if they have a free version. I assume they do as it seems to come standard on pc's now. Hmm...
Saw National Treasure today. I enjoyed it. I'd like to see Atonement and Sweeney Todd, too. (Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman!) :)
