Yesterday Tangwystl and I went to the International Gem and Jewelry Show at the I-X Center. We both bought watches, small pearls for beading garb, and I bought 2 rings and a bracelet. My company laid off 2 people today - 1 lady in the office and 1 guy in the factory. The lady in the office did AR, and the gal that used to do that job is taking over most of the AR duties again. Our boss called us into the conference room in 2 groups to let us know about the lay offs and answer any questions. He did say that the company didn't ( Read more... )

Someone asked me about my job the other day, and I realized I forgot to post an update. I'm still employed. No one has been laid off yet, but they are cutting corners everywhere they can. There have been rumors swirling around my office for the last few weeks that they are considering laying people off or at least cutting some of us down to part time hours.
