International Gem and Jewelry Show
Yesterday Tangwystl and I went to the International Gem and Jewelry Show at the I-X Center. We both bought watches, small pearls for beading garb, and I bought 2 rings and a bracelet. I couldn't believe the prices. Sure, they had some pricey items, but my watch was $6.00, and both rings were each under $20. Each strand of pearls we bought was $4.00 or under. They only had one food booth there and of course we were both hungry and bought an overpriced hot dog for $4.00 and $2.00 grab bags of chips. *lol* Later on the way home we stopped off at a Chinese take out place she knew about, bought dinner, and then I hung out at her house for a few hours before heading home. Her 2 cats are very shy, but one of them kept coming out while I was there. She wouldn't get close enough for me to pet her, and if I made a sudden move she took off like a shot. At least she didn't hide the entire time I was there. Maybe I'll get to pet her in a year or so. *lol*
I am not looking forward to work this week. I'm glad to still be working, but it's our fiscal year end and we're closing the 1st and 2nd for our year end inventory. It's always a stressful time for everyone, so I'll be glad when the week is over.
