on to day thirteen here. woo. aren't we just having fun here? yeah. i'm running out of pithy things to say, so i'm winging it here. yeah. i suck at winging it.
on the plus side... TGIF! in most parts of the world, that means "Thank God its Friday!" but down here, it mean "Toes Go in First!" so, you know, you put your shoes on the right way. i'm going to attempt some literature here in a bit. wish me luck. the brain hasn't been so cooperative lately. but one can always hope, right?
1 - How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?

13 - Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
um... you know, i suppose that all depends on what canon vs. fanon we're talking about here. with Harry Potter, i think i tend to stick fairly close to Jo Rowling's canon. when playing around in Marvel, i think i'm a little less anal about the canon to some extent. though, really, when i'm writing, i think i'm more concerned with the correct characterization than i am anything else. you can go completely out of canon and still make the story work if you keep the characters as in character as possible.
those of you who know me really well know that i'm so anal retentive about in character that it isn't even funny. (Daz, sweetie, you put up with so much and i love you for it!) i worry more about in character than i do about pretty much anything else. fanon. canon. whatever. i write what i like.
and i don't know that fanfic or fandom has changed how i see the source material. i don't think it has. dunno. does it really matter in the end? anyone? Beuller?
14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
15 - Warnings - What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
16 - Summaries - Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
18 - Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
19 - When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
