It doesn't seem to matter whether Angela wound up with a date or not, because she's out on the dance floor instead of snuggling up in a corner. Ever her attention-grabbing, I'm-the-center-of-the-universe self, she's shaking it like nobody's business and drifting from partner to partner, thoroughly enjoying herself.

Let it never be said that Angie doesn't know how to have a good time.

And one of those people that she danced with happened to be none other than Ezio Auditore. Without his hood and his extravagant robes he had to wonder if the woman would recognise him.

When she spun over to him, he pulled her against his chest, leaning over to whisper in her ear; "It's good to see you smiling again, Angela." instead of glaring death at him.

"Well hello there, stranger." Angela moved close, much closer than she was ever taught to dance by her tutors at in Altena. Pretty much all her etiquette lessons were going out the window tonight. One arm around Ezio's neck, she rocked her hips to the music and winked at him. "Finally decided to show yourself?"

Ladon is hanging out in the garden, dressed up in a pinstripe zoot suit and a matching fedora. In usual Ladon fashion, he's keeping to himself, refusing the offer of appetizers and instead just nursing a stout little glass of whiskey and smoking a cigarette.

He does look up when anyone he knows passes by and tips his hat. He's not exactly being anti-social, but he's not mingling. That's Ladon for you.

Unfortunately for Ladon - and he really should have known this by now - Lior was not one that would simply take a silent greeting and walk away. Nope, as soon as she saw him she was running up to greet him properly. "Ladon! What are you doing hiding out here?"

Thankfully it takes Ladon some time to get to the "kiss all things" stage, but he does flush a little and smile at Lior. Derp derp girl derp.

"Don't think the hostess'd be real keen on me smokin' up her party, yeah?"

Noah wasn't originally planning on attending when she got the invitation, but seeing as she really didn't have anything better to do, she obviously changed her mind. So after meandering around the extravagant palace in her dress she headed outside; glass of champagne in hand.

For a while she simply wandered around, talking here and there with people she may or may not know, eventually making her way to the pool where she yanked her shoes off and sat on the edge; dipping her legs into the water.

Ace doesn't exactly do fancy clothes so when he got wind of a party, he showered and made sure his clothes (same shorts, same boots, same hat) were all clean and fresh before strolling out, again, shirtless because shirts were just not needed ever. And while a pool probably wasn't the most ideal place to go hang out, he recognised Noah and strolled over.

Oh he skipped the champagne. Give him some beer or sake any day.

"Hey," he called, weaving his way past a couple of people as he made his way over to Noah, "Nice dress."

Probably a sad day when even skimpy dresses covered far more than Ace's regular attire.

Noah would never complain about the lack of clothes on Ace, even if his adorable face seemed to contradict the whole body-of-a-model thing. So when he called out to her she looked up, smirking once she recognised who it was - not that it was very hard - and stood up to greet him properly; IE: with a brohug.

"Thanks, I'm not usually one to get dolled up but I didn't want to stand out like a sore thumb." She gave him a pointed look, but the smile on her face implied that she was obviously teasing, "How have you been, Blackjack? Not getting into too much trouble are you?"

Rukia had handed her invitation to the doorman and stepped into the party, patting her dress down nervously. The venue was grander than she'd imagined, her eyes taking in the towering columns, the glistening marble, and the majestic chandeliers. A passing erote placed a long stemmed white rose in her hand, at which she accepted with a thank you and a smile before moving into the crowd like a swimmer cresting a wave.

Following the flow of people towards the mountain of chocolate confections, Rukia rubbernecked at the passing party goers dancing in the wide space in the middle, the attendants who pressed a flute of champagne into her hand that she sniffed at for a moment. It bubbled and was tinted pink, of all things. A ginger sip made her nose wrinkle as the carbonation tickled. Ahh, it was alcoholic. Maybe she'd just nurse it a while.

Ezio had not been to a proper party in ages, and for that very reason he decided to attend the one the Goddess was throwing. He knew nothing of the woman, not sure he would even know anyone that would be going--but it didn't matter. There was no use avoiding it, really. Everyone and their mother seemed to be attending from what he saw, so it would be easy to blend in and see new faces. It gave him a chance to learn more about the world they had been dragged into, and if not that...then he could at least mingle and act like a normal person for the first time in 20 some-odd years.

He had strolled in with the crowd, wearing the clothes from long ago. He was surprised they even fit considering how long it had been since he wore them, but he could easily blame Promenade and the ability to 'dream' things up for that. He took his time admiring the decorations and the beautiful women making their way around the place ( ... )

Would it have been any other time in her life, Lucy would have been more than happy to attend such an event. Robbed of seven years of what could have been a more or less normal life for an Assassin, she had looked forward to the day they'd save the Earth, and those following after, because they would meant some freedom and time to live her life to the fullest. Events like this one could only remind her of that ( ... )

Aphrodite, dressed in black silk, pearls twined through her hair, surveyed the ballroom from her seat on a small dais at the far end of the ballroom, Philon lounging at her feet, while a beautiful maiden played a sweet tune on the harp.

A smile danced on her lips as she watched the party.

Jarlaxle had been a little unsure about attending the party at first due to the sudden and unexpected spouting of poetry he had been suffering through. The chance to have a good time and possibly bed a woman or two was hard to resist however, and eventually Jarlaxle found himself in Aphrodite's palace dressed well for the occasion.

He sought out the hostess first, partially out of politeness, and partially out of the desire to see if perhaps she might be one of those women he took to his bed. She was in the ballroom, looking delightfully beautiful. Jarlaxle stopped before he dais and bowed low, sweeping his hat across the ground in front of him in a respectful and princely bow.

"How are you tonight, my lady?" he asked once he had straightened.
