Yako wandered down the street, thinking. Valentine's day was coming up, and she wasn't quite sure what to do. She didn't know many people here very well, not even her housemates, but maybe giving out chocolates would be a good ice breaker? She knew that she'd appreciate it, but Yako would be the first to admit that she wasn't the best example of normality when food was concerned.

But, Ladon and Allen would definitely get some. D liked sweets, Amelia might like some with her tea, she needed to thank Kurosaki, and she wasn't sure about Jarlaxle...Yako paused in her thoughts. She could feel someone staring. After quickly checking that her mask hadn't slipped, she turned and met the gaze of....nobody.

Weird.

Yako blinks and turns towards the person who called out. As she does so, a strange stinging hits her chest--nothing compared to what Neuro usually put her through, though, so it barely merits a grimace and a quick rub for the injured area. Then she's all smiles for the redhead.

"It's nothing, really." She assures him, quickly matching the face to a name. "You're...Lavi-san, right? Allen-san's friend?" She had gotten his name from the white haired boy; she simply assumes that something similar happened on Lavi's end. She tilts her head to the side curiously, and strangely enough can feel a light blush spread over her cheeks.

[Effy was wandering the streets, but she hadn't really been thinking about the upcoming "holiday". Valentine's Day wasn't something that was that important to her, especially since being taken from home. Though, she did stop to look, or rather, window shop, in front of a bakery.]

[A pretty maiden, dressed in white and pink approached the girl staring at the bakery window]

My mistress bids me to give this to you, miss.

[Effy turns, giving the maiden a quick once-over.]

Give me what?

[She holds out a square of parchment, in beautiful handwriting]

This, my lady.

Meanwhile a winged man takes aim with his arrow, unbeknownst to Effy]

Naoki hadn't had a too different reaction. He had jerked, startled, eyes flaring in their hue briefly (less yellow and more orange on the borders of red) before instincts had told him there was no danger. There was no attacker or demon or--

He had scratched at his hair, blinking in utter bemusement. Maybe it had just been a bug? Eventually he had gone on. Which lead to where he was now, meandering down the street and noticing a familiar head of hair and clothes from a distance. It makes him perk up and Naoki picks up his pace slightly, jogging toward Ted.

Naoki slowed to a stop in front of him, offering a faint (if cheery) grin. He was getting more comfortable with it, little by little. That Ted was the type of person that he was helped Naoki relax, by extension. And he, for the most part? Seems not to pay much mind to the mask. Given long enough, he will start itching under the edges of it, though. The lack of them at night is the only thing he likes about that time of day.

"Hey, Ted. What brings you out here?" He glanced around the area before returning his focus back to the other.

That day Blaine was telling her about was almost here. Rapunzel was actually getting really excited for it. So, she took over the kitchen in house ten. Her plan was to bake people things and give them a painting. That was the only gift that came to mind, since gift giving really wasn't something she knew how to do. All she wanted was to make sure the new friends she was making here were happy. Just because they were stuck in this place didn't mean they had to be sad all the time.

All the sudden, while pulling cookies out of the oven, she felt something hit her. All the cookies on the tray fell to the ground.

"What was--?" She looked down at the cookies on the ground and pouted. All the hard work just went down the drain. The only thing she could do now was clean and bake some more.

I hope he's ready to be sung to! sun_droplet February 11 2011, 19:12:33 UTC
It was upsetting to know all her cookies falling onto the floor, but it was something she could fix. There was no point of being upset over it, since being upset wasn't going to change anything. The cookies were still going to be on the floor and ruined. She stood up tall and pushed up her sleeves to get back to work.

Before she was able to grab a broom to sweep up, Rapunzel heard Ted's voice. It surprised her and caused her to jump. Quickly, she turned around to face Ted, and when she did, something came over her. There was something different about Ted now. She felt flustered and embarrassed.

"TED!" Her face turned a bright shade of pink. "I'm sorry about the mess."

Masamune was in his expected place - the Date manor, though this time he wasn't training in the courtyard (surprisingly).

Nope, he was actually trying to enjoy a nice cup of sake, though his swords weren't too far away from him. This whole place had him on-edge, and it was really starting to get to him the last couple days. Shaking his head, he lowered his head slightly before closing his eye, frowning deeply. Granted it had been easier to adjust to the place thanks to Yako and some of the others, he still felt like a dragon that had its fangs muzzled and claws restrained. He didn't like it one bit.

A jolt, and his hand was at his chest, expecting to see blood, but there was nothing. His instincts were screaming, something had to be wrong, but he couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was.

Since that weird pinch she had felt just before talking with Lavi, Yako had felt a bit...off. She couldn't place exactly what was wrong yet, but it niggled at the back of her mind, even as she steered her thoughts back to their original course: Valentine's Day, and, more importantly, who she should gice out chocolates to. Besides the people she had considered before, there was also Sebastian, L-Lavi (she couldn't stop blushing for some reason)...

Yako blinked up at the large estate she had nearly paased unawares. Date Masamune.

She paused, tapping her lip thoughtfully. Did he even know about Valentine's Day? She wasn't sure when it came to Japan, but she knew the whole commercialized chocolate exchange was a newer thing. With that in mind, she stepped up and knocked firmly on the large gateway. She didn't know if he was in, but if he was then she might as well give him a heads-up about the upcoming holiday.

Taking a breath, Masamune snapped himself out of his current thought process at the sound of the knock. His gaze flickered up to the source of the sound, getting to his feet as he walked to the gate. Once he opened it, however, he was surprised to see Yako standing there. What else was strange was that his heartrate was slightly quickened.

Yeah. Not normal.

"Hey."

Yako smiled sweetly. "Hey yourself." She tucked back a strand of hair, feeling slightly shy for some bizarre reason. Maybe the huge house had nailed in the act that he was really a famous warlord? Yako pushed away that train of thought for the moment, and focused on not dropping her gaze or fidgeting. "I remembered that there's a modern holiday coming up soon and figured it might be a good idea to fill you in so you don't think we've all gone crazy when you wake up to chocolate and hearts everywhere."

There. No stammering, or squeaking, Yako thought proudly. She failed to take nottice of the faint pinkening of her cheeks, though.
