That day Blaine was telling her about was almost here. Rapunzel was actually getting really excited for it. So, she took over the kitchen in house ten. Her plan was to bake people things and give them a painting. That was the only gift that came to mind, since gift giving really wasn't something she knew how to do. All she wanted was to make sure the new friends she was making here were happy. Just because they were stuck in this place didn't mean they had to be sad all the time.

All the sudden, while pulling cookies out of the oven, she felt something hit her. All the cookies on the tray fell to the ground.

"What was--?" She looked down at the cookies on the ground and pouted. All the hard work just went down the drain. The only thing she could do now was clean and bake some more.

I hope he's ready to be sung to!

It was upsetting to know all her cookies falling onto the floor, but it was something she could fix. There was no point of being upset over it, since being upset wasn't going to change anything. The cookies were still going to be on the floor and ruined. She stood up tall and pushed up her sleeves to get back to work.

Before she was able to grab a broom to sweep up, Rapunzel heard Ted's voice. It surprised her and caused her to jump. Quickly, she turned around to face Ted, and when she did, something came over her. There was something different about Ted now. She felt flustered and embarrassed.

"TED!" Her face turned a bright shade of pink. "I'm sorry about the mess."

Rapunzel's eyes were back on her mess. For some reason she couldn't bring her eyes up to look at Ted. She felt so flustered and didn't understand why. It was like she was with Flynn all over again, and it hurt her more than made her happy. With the broom in hand, she began to sweep, and without thinking she looked back up at Ted. Everything in her told her not to, but she did, and she felt her heart skip a bit.

"No! I made the mess, so I should clean it up." Her cheeks were bright red now. She began to sweep as fast as she could, but the crumbs just got into her hair. This was only making her more embarrassed. She really just wanted to hide right now.

He wasn't listening to her. He was actually coming over to help. What was she going to do? Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she couldn't even think straight. All she could do was stand still. It was like she forgot how to move. Her brain just wasn't connecting to her body.

It took her a moment, but she finally smiled warmly and turned away from Ted. "Thank you." She said softly, feeling very bashful.

And now he was TOUCHING her. Well, her hair, but it was part of her. All she could do was stand there completely frozen. She bit down on her lip. In her mind she was still fighting with herself. Part of her wanted to just give into these new feelings she had for Ted, but another part of her wanted to ignore them.

"Ted!" Her hands quickly covered her mouth. This sudden urge came over her to just say something to him. Not anything, but something important, something from her heart, but she couldn't. He wasn't going to share her feelings, and once again, she'll be crushed.

She must have looked so stupid. All she wanted to do right now is crawl under a rock and hide forever. The last thing she wanted was to look stupid in front of Ted. He was so nice to her, and now she was developing feelings for him. She really didn't mean to, it just seemed to happen. Rapunzel really didn't want to fall for anyone ever again, and really didn't want to fall for anyone here, since they would just leave.

"I'm sorry." She turned away and grabbed some of her hair. "Th--thank you for helping me." The words came out in a whisper, but there was a big smile on her face.

Yup, she did look like a fool, and in front of Ted. She wanted to get away from him, but being here with him made her so happy.

"I am?" Of course she was. She realized it too, but she could kick her own butt because he noticed. "I guess, I'm just having a bad day." Rapunzel looked down, feeling nothing but embarrassment and humiliation.

"NO!" She answered quickly. How could even think that? There was nothing Ted could be wrong in Rapunzel's eyes right now. He was just perfect, in every way. She was wrong. Flynn wasn't the one for her. She knew now that it was Ted.

"No. I just felt this pinch, and I dropped the cookies." Her heart was pounding in her chest. "Would--- would you like to try some?"
