"Heart of Clay" is (I think) mostly done.  Depending on what a few betas say, I may be sending this sucker out into the great unknown very soon.  I'm feeling pretty good about this one.

I'm burying myself in the "Haole" rewrite.  It's a pretty hefty rewrite, at least it feels like it is from where I'm sitting.  On the brightside, I feel like I have a better idea what's not working right now than I did before.  Some of the worldbuilding needs to get tweaked, a little more depth and angst is going to be added to Tom's character, and ( Read more... )

As much as occasionally selling stuff can be affirming (and I emphasize "occasionally" heavily), getting rejections can still be just as discouraging.

Betas Beware!  Fallen Horizon is back out into the wild.  I thought I finished the polish Monday, but wasn't sure, really couldn't believe it.  So I spent most of my writing time yesterday and today looking over stuff.  (For example, I'd forgotten to add the chapter numbers -- that might have been confusing.)

I've finished rewriting the final scene of Fallen Horizon!

At about 20+ pages, it was action-packed and pretty exhausting.  I think I finished the epilogue as well, although it will probably take a day or two to decide how close I actually am.  Basically, I trimmed out a lot of the stuff in there that people felt took Krylyr's character into a ( Read more... )

I cleaned up the audio issues with Episode 3 of Superspiff and the Toothpick Kid and just posted it again.  Phew.

Fallen Horizon is moving along really well.  I worked some more on the final chapters today, cleaning them up, adding some details and tying threads together.  There's one story thread I plan on closing tomorrow that kinda got left ( Read more... )
