I just got back to Beijing from a week-long visit to Canberra last week. We'll be returning for good in August. It was a very long flight both ways - the plane to Australia was delayed for three hours and the plane on the way back was held over in Shanghai for two hours. ( Read more... )

Not that I am condoning it but "they" say that the siamese fighting fish live naturally in puddles of water in the rice paddies or something and so can survive in tiny fishtanks but still hello keyrings! All that jostling about - poor things.

My wife always says its kind of funny when people go to chian and only want western food and when chinese come here and onkly want chinese style food.

I guess you gusy will be settling permenently in Aus?
