Some random photos from Canberra and Beijing

I just got back to Beijing from a week-long visit to Canberra last week. We'll be returning for good in August. It was a very long flight both ways - the plane to Australia was delayed for three hours and the plane on the way back was held over in Shanghai for two hours.

In Canberra, we saw a little girl at the supermarket wearing a panda hat :) Her mother let me take a photo

These chocolate chip Tiny Teddies are a bit creepy-looking. The poor bear looks like he has small pox or something

My brother and his girlfriend took me for scones one day :)

Landing in Shanghai, they scanned us for flu! :D Look at these guys in suits

The Shanghai flight was delayed because of bad weather in Beijing and this poor Air China groundstaff member got yelled at by angry passengers

Back in Beijing ... I was disturbed by this - they are supplying goldfish in key rings

There's almost no room for the poor fish to move

When the Canadian's father was here, he kept wanting to eat Western food and also he kept asking for 'something light'. The other day, the Canadian and I went to lunch and laughed when we saw this on the menu :)

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants is Kagen. I like the barbecue they have

They provide dipping sauces

Meat and veg to cook

I LOVE the okinamiyaki there

And the entrance is cool - as you wave your hand through a red light to open the front doors :)
