I just got back to Beijing from a week-long visit to Canberra last week. We'll be returning for good in August. It was a very long flight both ways - the plane to Australia was delayed for three hours and the plane on the way back was held over in Shanghai for two hours. ( Read more... )

I'm back in Beijing. It seems like I've been flying forever and while Singapore Airlines is a wonderful airline, it's exhausting to be constantly flying. Sigh. Largely finished my packing. Heading back to Beijing tomorrow. Will arrive there early in the morning on Tuesday. It's a blazing hot summer here in Canberra but freezing cold winter in Beijing so dressing for that is a bit difficult. So bizarre. A while back, we were very upset because we discovered that the children in the house behind ours in Canberra were climbing over the back fence, breaking into our granny flat, stealing our things (CDs, clothes, quite a few other items), smashing the windows and had also spray painted 'F*CK' over the bathroom mirror. I've been staying at my brother's house this week. I'm moving to Mama Koala's today to spend the rest of the time at her place.
