FFXIII and Under the Dome
We rented FFXIII last week and renewed it yesterday. So far, I like the battle system and some of the characters. However, I've died about 15 times, there are 20,000 tutorials, and the game keeps making you switch characters, all of which can be annoying. I'm reading Swann's Way on the iPod Touch. One of the maid's must have an identity crisis, because I noticed her name switched from Francoise to Franchise. Maybe she's a French businesswoman. I really enjoyed Abraham Verghese's novel Cutting for Stone. A lot of it is set in Ethiopia, and he did a vivid job of showing the places, food, and culture. The characters kept my interest throughout the book, too. I was a big fan of his first non-fiction book, so I'm glad he's made the transition to fiction ( Read more... ) -

The power of up
My near future poem is now at OUTSHINE.
The icicles are gone, but there's still plenty of snow and slush around. It made for a messy walk to the library and back.
I gave myself a two week extension on my project. There's probably another project lurking in the dark after that, though. -
Snow Daze
We got a little over 7 inches of snow on December 24th. Getting across town was slow going, and there's still lots of snow on the ground and roof tops today. I'm glad I stocked up on groceries on the 23rd.
