Late last night, I finished reading the Gathering Storm, the new Wheel of Time book by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. I think Brandon did a great job with the characters and the story; I especially liked the sections with Mat and Egwene. This was one of the most enjoyable WoT books in years for me and I'm looking forward to the next book

Lately, I've been writing a lot of fantasy, science fiction, and horror poems. Somewhere between a raft and a boatload at least, but I might hit a galleon if my pace continues. I'm just glad to feel busy again

I finished the April challenge story and turned it in. I liked the characters and plot now; we'll have to see what happens during the edit. Last week, I pulled out a story from a few years ago to edit and I decided the plot was too much of a mess to expend time on for 4000 words

I'm glad I reread the GLs for Machine of Death. They added a few sections to clarify what they don't want, and the story I outlined would've earned the auto-reject. So I've got to rethink that one fast

Last year it snowed for a little less than 20 minutes. Or maybe more. This year, our region has Buffalo-envy or something. Snow's charming until I have to drive the car somewhere. :P
