ROCK & READ #033 the GazettE - Ruki Interview [Translation 1/4]

Dec 19, 2010 23:39

Hey everyone!

So here we go!
This is the first part of Ruki's 23-page interview in Rock&Read 33, which has sold out in many places.
I am planning to do this in 4 parts, but I guess you'll have to be a little patient. Seeing my schedule from this Tuesday, I probably won't be able to do any more until January. I will get right back into it the though. : ( Read more... )

I've always respected Ruki for his stubbornness in ignoring what other people say and think. It can get annoying at times, to hear him talk about it so much at times, but I have always appreciated the fact that no matter what anyone says, he refuses to change what he thinks or wants just to make people like him. It's extremely hard to do so, especially for musicians and artists who have to take just as much criticism as they do praise ( ... )

Thank you so much! So far I love his honesty and I love the bluntness of which he speaks.

Can't wait to read the rest! And thank you for doing it regardless, because its understandable that towards the end of the year ppl get busy.

Have a good week ^^

Thank you very much!!

Seems they really are against the idea of touring overseas which I guess I see as a shame, as an overseas fan but I suppose I can understand it. I also hate it when fans in European countries for example go to see a jrock band just because it's Japanese rock when they wouldn't even be a fan of that artist at all. It's not even the intention of 'let me go to try something new' a lot of them actually go 'oh it's japanese at least so i can say i went to see a japanese band live!' It's like the intentions are different and some are not quite right I guess.

I look forward to reading the rest~ Thanks as always dear =]

Actually, this is the most positive statement I have heard from them concerning overseas touring in a long while, because he says that they will "create the basis in Japan to restart their activities overseas". They have learned and while not doing it the way they have before, they are not averse to doing it again. ^^

And I totally understand what you mean, and I do agree. ^^v

Yeah to be honest I feel like they're convinced to do it again sometime in the future but I feel like they're trying to say "this time it'll be our way" you know? Maybe they'll do it again, and that time it'll be when they feel ready, so hopefully they'll have a better experience then.

You're soo right!!!

It might be a little bit of topic, but you can also see it in bands like girugamesh.

So many people complain about their new style and many of them even sold their merch and said "that's just bull****!!"
But guess who were the first to say "OMG! They're coming back to europe, I'm soooo gonna go there!!",..

I really can't stand this kind of hypocrisy,...

Sadly it's almost the same with gazette,... sometimes I really do feel ashamed to be part of that "fandom"...
