People really annoy me sometimes. And I really hate that customers are allowed to use the kiosks to look up books for themselves. They come and browse sometimes, and then I can't get much done, because I can't look anything up. By this point, I've worked in the section long enough that I do have a pretty good handle on most of the popular books, as

one of the reasons i like you, brenda, is because you seem to understand and share my utter contempt of 90% of the human race. :)

for instance, the lady at the bus stop: don't be surprised when i stare at you incredulously and laugh derisively at you because you're wearing a floral print with stripes. you look like a clown.

and i can be heard muttering 'stupid bitch' quite often after hanging up the phone at work - even when the caller is male.
