Our garage now has a door! It's a sort of light grayish green, which doesn't match the rest of the house or the garage, but that will be changed soon. But at least it has a door! I'm *loving* Nine Princes in Amber. I think I may be enjoying it more than any other book Shannon and I have read aloud together over the years. (Though Shannon did amazing voices for the rabbits in Watership Down.)

Wow. Canned cat food smells *nasty*. Ugh. But Cobweb has been having serious appetite issues, so we're trying pretty much everything. We alternate between 3 different types of wet food and 2 different types of dry food. It's gotten ridiculous ( Read more... )

- woke early, because the gutter folk were coming this morning. They did show up, and we now have clean gutters, and I am deliriously happy about it. The head gutter guy told me that the gutter along the front of our roof was "like a planter," with all kinds of stuff growing in it. Oops!

I got a gazillion things done today, mostly housework. Very exciting. I also biked over to west Berkeley to visit Caruso the Loaner Cat, only to find that Ilah's house is once again being invaded by ants. This seems to be the case every time I cat-sit there.
