I've been on Alesse for a full 12 months now and I'm only just starting to notice pms-y crap. Well, it's good to know that it's not all just in my head. :\

happy birfday tho! when is it?

i am all for storage solutions. moving here and having so much less stuff around me has really done wonders for my mental health. every time i make a little improvement to the space or conconct a good way of organizing/storaging some stuff, i am happy for days. and it makes finding things easier later. do try thrift or better yet sidewalk shopping too, weve found a couple of useful bits that way, for cheep, and not even ugly!

One; the finances just aren't that big a deal when having a baby. A lot of what people spend money on is the nursery, which isn't even necessary (or good for babies). Other than that you're looking at diapers and really that's about it for the first year or so. Go check out the Toronto freecycle group, there's always lots of people trying to get rid of bagfuls of used baby clothes. Most of what Moo wears came to us second-hand ( ... )

Diaper services are easy, lovely things. All you buy are the covers (around $9 each and you'll need 4-5, or you can sew your own or buy them cheap off ebay) and then they deliver the prefolds once a week. The folding's easy to do and the covers have velcro closures, so pins are a thing of the past. :) You don't need to rinse/wipe/whatever the prefolds, just toss them straight into the pail (which has a garbage-size bag inside it) and then once a week the service shows up, takes the bag of dirties, and gives you a bag of nice clean ones. Our service delivered 70 prefolds a week for $16.95 (that's including tax) and even in the early days (when they're just little faucets that breastmilk runs straight through) we didn't run out of prefolds; but if you do, you can have them bring an additional 10 prefolds for an extra dollar a week ( ... )

I Very Much remember the work hell you went through when you were trying to get your hours in. Ugh. I shall be looking for a job as soon as I get my work permit, which should be any time between now and January, if all goes well. That should give me plenty of time to find something worth keeping, get my 600 in, and start trying to conceive in August. If all does not go well, then I deal and do not rush things.

If more people really took the time to prepare themselves the way you are, I think we'd have a lot more people better equipped to deal with the challenge of parenthood.

Wow. Thank you! *beams* That makes me feel really good. :D

Re Conscious Conception: I haven't looked into it, but it sounds like a good idea. I've got a notion that a certain someone keeps trying to get in the pool before it's time. *snerk*

The diaper service sounds AWESOME! That is a definite yes for the future. Hey, about how often do you do laundry?
