Adventures with sick? rabbits.
Last night, I went in to feed my rabbits, and the boy, Cody, was hunched up in the litter box, hyperventilating. Worried, I offered him his favorite treats... and he rejected them. Those two symptoms are signs of gastrointestinal stasis, which can kill rabbits in hours. So I kinda freaked out.

I finally made a My Anime List. Come boggle at the sheer number of shows that are widely considered to be really good that I've gotten bored with and dropped! -
A veritable cornucopia of bullshit

The company wants to send me on a business trip to Philadelphia.
When I go to Seattle, I get to eat lots of seafood. So, if Philly doesn't also cover that front, I will have no choice but to eat the Liberty Bell. -

Things I learned this weekend.
- Walking about seven blocks across Raleigh in a suit, in the afternoon, in June... is not a good idea.
- If you have 8 glasses of wine and 3 cups of gelato on an empty stomach, terrible things happen.
- Flying with a hangover sucks.
- Cooking oil, if heated hot enough, will remain calm until you drop something into it, at which point it will sizzle with ( Read more... )

Today, I finished my project of the past two weeks. A tower from sea level to the new PC height cap, 170-ish levels tall. The stem is 19 tiles wide, the disc is 89. There's a powered rail system running from ground level to a station in the base of the disc, and the whole thing is 27,000 smoothed stone, 7,000 glass. (Give or take a bit. Those ( Read more... ) -

The trouble with lizards
So, my new fort.
First, a weremonitor attacked. It killed a fisherman, bit the woodcutter, then turned back into a human, ran across the map, and got caught in a cage trap*.
