I am pleased to be able to say that I knew of 8 of the 10 most influential women in British Science History :) Although less of the other 2 lists.

I think reading about some of the women and how they were sidelined is really interesting too. I’m glad finally women of all races are being acknowledged.

I knew 7 out of 10 of them, though I'm afraid to say that one of the ones I didn't know went to the same college of the University of London as I did. Oops.

If my experience of poppies is anything to go by if you have one poppy this year then next year there will be five and the year after that about fifty! You may not have planted it as they are extremely good at seeding themselves.

They are interesting lists.

I don’t think I mind if the poppies self seed - I love the colour and I expect I can just pull them up before the seeds ripen if necessary.

I knew seven of the British women, but only three of the Americans.

It was a good year for poppies, this year. My little garden was wall-to-wall Welsh poppies *g*

I think all the sun and rain has been about right for plants this year - I’ve certainly had some lovely flowers in my garden too.

Beautiful poppy! Work experience and concrete skills can still outweigh a degree now, but maybe it's more difficult?

Over here they tend to reduce the number of applicants by asking for degrees. It’s quite unfair as often they don’t need someone with degree. In fact I wouldn’t be able to apply for my old teaching job now as I don’t have a degree lol!

Interesting lists, I recognised one or two.
Use a lint roller or if you don't have one sticky tape will work to remove cat hairs. That's the advanyage of black and white cats, only half the hair shows!
