Today was good. I went out to lunch and did some Christmas shopping with my dad, which was fun. Hey, so I watched the movie. The cast was excellent, of course - NPH aside, it was Debbie Reynolds! - and it was touching in the way that holiday movies can't really help being touching. Otherwise? Actually not all that good. ^^; The writing was dreadful in places. I mean, seriously. "Grandpa, why did you do this? Why did you send us on this journey?" Really?

But I managed to enjoy it regardless. ^_^ I mean, wee!NPH! And Debbie Reynolds!

Glad you're having fun so far, and please don't get into any car accidents!

I only ended up watching about 10 minutes of the movie before it was time to go out with my dad, but I could tell it was pretty cheesy just from that. *g* Just the way it was filmed in such a soft light! But you're right... wee!NPH!

Oh hey, guess who came to see the show last night. Tony Owen, Donna Reed's son! He came down to talk to us before the show, and read a smidge from a letter she wrote to a friend about starting filming on the movie, and he sent a very complimentary Cast-o-Gram to Dawn at intermission. "My mom couldn't sing a note," he wrote. ^^ It was pretty cool!
