The traveling part of my vacation is now over. There was a lot of driving, so I'm okay with being out of the car for a while. *g*

My parents are here, which, YAY! We spent most of today doing fix-it things around the house: got new vertical blinds for the sliding doors in the living room and my bedroom, re-installed the downstairs screen door, got the doorbell mounted, changed out the wall sconce in the stairwell... As I'm sure is obvious, December was not my best picture month. I took a LOT of pictures in the last couple days of the month, and there were more than a handful of days I didn't take any at all. It's 58*. Fifty-eight degrees! Weather.com tells me it's currently 38* in Simi Valley. Of course, it's only 9:00 in the morning there, but still! It is not supposed to be 20* warmer in Chicago than in California in December. Or, y'know, ever, really ( Read more... )

It's snowing huge, fat flakes. It's been snowing pretty much nonstop since yesterday, which was on top of plenty of snow that was already there. Can I tell you how much I love that we're going to have a white Christmas? SO MUCH! Eee! Today was good. I went out to lunch and did some Christmas shopping with my dad, which was fun.
