It might be that, not having a tv, my taste in movies has been warped by only seeing blockbuster-style "event" movies, which generally involve a fast pace and explosions, or at least epic battle scenes. Went to Mr. K's last night with the 'rents. Very elegant Chinese food that takes too long to serve, which works well when you're at a banquet and not so well when you're tired from a long day at work.
