Rotten Tomatoes gave Alexander a 14%. That's pretty bad. Although Christmas with the Kranks got a 4%. To give you an idea of the Tomato scale, Gigli got a 7%. The site is a very good indicator of whether a movie is good or bad since it takes all published reviews into account. If a movie is in the high 90's, you know it's amazing, since it's so hard to get 90% of critics to agree on anything. Likewise, if it's below 25%, you know it's garbage.

As for this year's crop of films, I think it hasn't been a terrible year. Movies like "Sideways", "Kinsey", and "Team America" all recently came out and were fantastic. Like every other year, this one has been hit or miss.

I think Team America had been too built up by the time I got to it. I liked the South Park movie ever so much better. Haven't seen the other two yet.

I guess I'm just disappointed. I expected better from Legally Blonde 2, Troy, and Alexander.
