So we've looked at a bunch of places so far and have found 2 that we actually like. One is in Pepperell (longer commute, better listing price, better house) and the other is approx. 3 minutes down the road in Littleton. The Pepperell house just received an offer tonight but it has a condition that the buyer sells their other house, so if we have an

Very exciting. I like the Pepperell house and land better. But the location of the Littleton house wins hands down. Of course if the Littleton sellers refuse to come down to around the assessed price and if the septic tank can't just be swapped out, then we are walking away from it.

If we could move the Pepperell house to Littleton we would be really happy

the Pepperel house looks good, and if you're willing to have a longer commute. As for the mosquito problem/ stream, you can get mosquito control out to clean it out if needed (may take a long time though. Need everyone's consent if it goes though other people's property.)

It's my number #1 choice in terms of the actual house and land. We aren't sure if the town does any sort of spraying.

In order for us to put an offer on the Pepperell house, one of our deal breakers need to happen on the Littleton house, which is quite possible. I have a feeling that the sellers don't want to lose a bunch of money, as they bought it 5 years ago for $312K, so I don't think that they will come down. We'll give them a few weeks to stew, and go from there.

I know I love my short commute but jobs don't last forever and it seems like the Pepperell house is a lot better. Eh, I still like the idea of you guys moving in near dantesdad and them.
