Actually it came to me after a conversation I had with my friend JanetM at the potluck earlier this week. She strongly suggested that I am careful with 55 and older condo communities. She felt that they would not meet my needs as far as being social. That it would be too quiet.

Well it is the end of the week and beginning of the weekend. Even though I had a day and half off from work it feels like it was long. Spending on the scanning and the mail and then as I said being out threw my schedule off.

Yesterday was a day I wanted to sleep.  Sleep all day but couldn’t.  I knew I had laundry to do and the bingo and do nothing else.  I got nervous when the smoke detectors went off (at various times during the day and night)  I thought maybe they were also the Carbon monoxide detectors but they were not.  Besides if it were CO2 I wouldn’t be writing ( Read more... )

It is the first day of my spring vacation and I nearly flooded the kitchen, bathroom and cellar. I have been up since 5:30 but been awake since 4:30. I was soaking some clothes and forgot to turn the faucet off and while I was showering it flooded the bathroom, kitchen and there is a huge (not a deep) puddle in the basement. I finally got over my avoidance issues and cleaned the bathroom floor and changed the litterboxes. I don’t know how long it took but it reminded me of the days when I was younger and Mom gave me the task of cleaning the bathroom (we only had one at the time). It would take me literally all day. After a lovely sleeping weather and waking up to cool weather it got immensely humid and hot. It could be considered another heatwave. Liz came over and helped with the rearranging and (I think) cleaning of the sofas/couches they picked up yesterday from Mama and Papa.  I started to clean them last night with upholstery and rug cleaning stuff but that’s not working just yet.  I have been slowly putting the cushions from the old furniture in the garage.  Again I started last night ( Read more... )

Well it was still cold and icy.  i was running late this morning so I defrosted the windshield with the can of de-icer and it fogged up  the windshield.  I was a little annoyed.  Luckily it cleared by the time I got to the highway.  The roads were not bad at all once I could see them!  I think I may have read there is more snow at the end of the ( Read more... )
