loooooong (and belated) update

Jan 21, 2011 16:14

Sorry for the complete radio silence for like 2 weeks now. RL has been... interesting. Not to worry, however. I've mostly just been tired and busy (and in ridiculous amounts of pain but whatever). I'll start with the less fun updates and then get into happy territory. (omg, she has happy things to say for a change. it's a New Year's miracle!!!)

Castle has gotten so FUCKING GOOD how can you not watch it? YOU TOTALLY HAVE TO WATCH NEXT WEEKS ALL NEW EP. TRUST ME. Where Bones leaves us lacking in the ship department...CASTLE WILL NOT BE DOING THAT. NOPE, NOT GONNA HAPPEN! :D

Bones, meh, I really didn't pay attention to last nights ep because frankly there wasn't enough Angela/Hodgins in it and right now, since they're keeping (the writers & Hart that is) word about keeping them together they're my main goal in watching lately. I'm sick of the "will they/won't they" (aka the writers are a bunch of fucking chickens) crap they've been dragging out for 6 years now. The S4 ender POS does not count cause it wasn't real or really them. Coma dream as pretty as it was, was NOT what this fan wanted or needed in the Bones/Booth department. Not at all.

Dude...I got to see BNL sing TBBT theme song LIVE back in July 2010 at SDCC. IT WAS AAAAWWWEEESSSSOOOOMMMMEEEE ( ... )

oh, i watch and enjoy it, just not as much as I could. i'm just so tired lately that i tend to be dead when i watch it. it's all on my DVR so, one day soon when i have more energy, i fully plan to rewatch it and squee muchly

the writers of Bones all need to drop dead now. then the makers need to hire me to fix this whole recent mess the old writers have made *nods wisely*

omg, you go to see it live? Wicked!!! *flails fanishly*

Amy's just amazing and I'm loving Mayim, too. She's so much fun. a more likable female Sheldon, no less *pets her* So freaking awesome!!! Girl geeks are finally getting their day in the sun. I hope she's on forever :) I also loved "We saw no reason to jeopardize our relationship by getting to know each other better."

13 eps isn't terrible. it's not a cheap show to make and I know 4 will be epic at 13 eps. still better than a BBC-length season

speaking of, is it just me or would the US Being Human be halfway decent if it weren't so ungodly awful? (and, you know, not an utter rip-off...)

Seriously, you should totally catch up on Castle. They're gonna give the fans what we want...finally! :D Next week!! SSSSQQQQUUUUEEEE!!!!

The writers just need to stop being so fucking chicken shit. If they think getting them together will kill the show...what do they think is happening with this 6 years of "will they/won't they"? Most of the people I know who watch it, are fed up with this crap.

Yes I got to see BNL sing the theme live! Did I mention it was AAAAWWWWEEEESSSSOOOOMMMMEEEE!!? OMG the geek girls bonding with Penny, so awesome. LOL

I couldn't tell you if the US Being Human was godawful or not since I didn't watch it. The US "Annie" is a blatant rip off of Lenora and it pisses me off. I mean, hellfuckingo, she's wearing the same fucking outfit. Lame.

Your beadwork continues to be beautiful! I wish things were better at Walmart for you -- would another store be close enough to make a transfer a viable option. When there's bad mgt, it can take a while before anything gets better (and it usually gets much worse, first ( ... )

thanks, hon *hugs*

i love the beading as a release (even if it's hell on my arthritic hands, lol) and I swear, the more I do of it, the more creative and productive it makes me in every way. i keep veering wildly between my favorite mediums and styles but I'm not letting myself worry about that at the moment. it's nice to just create something that people don't need to be a fandom geek to appreciate ;p

the next nearest Walmart is only about half an hour from here, but that's a hell of a drive to deal with twice a day on what I'm making now. and i'm not eligible to transfer internally until March which means that, if I tried, I'd have to go through the whole hiring process (applications, interviews, etc) all over again. Still, we'll see once I've done my six months

Sanctuary was getting kind of epic there right before the break and (on a totally shallow note) "Hello, Ranna!" *leers and wants her and Magnus to have angry UST now*

I like Penny as a foil for the geeks, especially for Sheldon, but I think she was mean with Leonard who really does love her. I think she's just intimidated by how brilliant he is (and I like that he's brilliant but sensible. And like you, I like how they accept one another for who they are.

We've had colder weather than usual for much of the time that I've been down here, but the last week or so has been gorgeous and I've been enjoying it. Off to Hawaii for ten days on Monday. The humidity there will probably bother me but I got a good timeshare exchange and wanted to try it -- for the past two years, it's been very cold here at this time of year. Of course, this year, it's beautiful here. No way of predicting.

My house still hasn't sold but other than that all is good.

Penny is a good foil. I may just be annoyed over her and Leonard, lol. She almost seems to "get" Sheldon better than the other geeks, which is a lovely touch. The others just accept him. Penny seems to understand him most of the time :)

have fun in Hawai'i ... if you're down by the coast, it shouldn't be too humid. just stay out of the valleys in the early hours before the sun's had a chance to lift the mist. it's a beautiful place (except for the one year in every 20 or so that they have a drought); I think you'll really enjoy it. I'm kind of jealous *hugs you*

predicting the weather is like consulting a magic 8 ball. you could get a helpful response. more likely, it won't even make sense ;p

yech, sorry the house still hasn't sold *hugs you* hang in there and I'll say a couple prayers that it does. the market will improve eventually. the recession is technically over so things should start looking up as soon as people realize that fact ;)

*hugs you more*

Hope Betty continues to feel better. I... will go look out the list for that body-transplant again for you *gentle hugs*

Really liked the two fics. Especially Detention. Sort of creepily realistic and guiltily hawt at the same time. Loved it. ;D

The beadwork's gorgeous, hun. The wooden one in particular looks like something they'd been charging a lot for in a shop. It's really pretty and the colours fit so well.

*rubs hands in glee* So, Syfy Being Human? As awful as we hoped guessed it would be? I'm having trouble finding it online and stupid Syfy Rewind doesn't work over here, but i have a couple of the promos bookmarked for whenever i'm in need of a good laugh. ;p God, it looks terrible.

Yeah, totally, especially since they like to dress her up in clothes so formal they just are suggestive in the flashback scenes. *hug* Will's reactions were fun, too.

*nods* They don't allow corporal punishment in schools now, but in Magnus' time, naughty pupils might well have got the slipper ;p

*nods* Sorry i don't have anything more constructive to say. The necklace is just really, really pretty. And looks so professional. :) Also, you have cooler beads over there. It's possible to just buy beads over 2000 years old? Wow. Slightly insane (as are the prices - if they really are so old, though, worth it, lol)

Sorry that work sucks. I hope you can transfer to another store with better employee morale.

Fringe was really shaky the first season. I stopped watching because the dialogue and acting were awful. But it suddenly got awesome around the end of season one and it hasn't stopped since. The writers still don't know what to do with Astrid, which sucks because she's awesome.

Re: Sanctuary - I really want that spinoff for The Five. Like, really bad. Caprica's over, so my beloved Watson is available. *knock on wood*

Work sucks but can only improve. Employee scuttlebutt has it that some of the assistant managers may not survive the yearly audit so a girl can hope. And, failing that, there are a dozen good places to hide a body in a facility that size. Especially once we start breaking ground on the expansion. No one's likely to notice a body buried in the foundation for decades ;p

Fringe totally started to rock rather unexpectedly. I'm not sure WHAT happened, but I'm glad it did. Astrid rocks. There needs to be more of her because both the character and the actress are just wonderful (my inner Watson wants to "kidnap" her and have her work for him, which would still involve a slightly eccentric old man but would give her much more scope for advancement/growth -- and office romance since my inner Watson tends to be a bit of a lecher).

I kind of want a Five spin-off set pre-Source (speaking of Caprica). Maybe some kind of highschool-drama-type thing: Sanctuary: 01865 or something. Love triangles, rebellious kids, homosexuality, heterosexuality, ( ... )
