[Meme] 30-Day Earrings: Day 17 & 18

DAY 17: DEFAULT PROFESSIONAL EARRINGS
Dimensions (from the stud; not from the backing): 4.8cm
Not measuring the back because can has plans to go with different earrings for Day 20 lolol
Probably one of the cheaper-looking pairs I have--and not surprising since the beads are clearly plastic (or lucite... same difference really). Got these Summer of '06 in California. Was interning there at the time and somehow found myself in one of those staple American apparel stores. Can't remember which store it was exactly--for all I know/remember it could've been Forever21 or DKNY. How they've become and remained my go-to professional earrings, I don't get it myself, really. If I don't go with the Day 10 earrings, I fall back on these. Interviews, networking events, you name it. Methinks it might be because from afar they still look pretty elegant, and the colours do complement a lot of my business professional attires. One of these days though, I'm going to find suitable glass/crystal/onyx replacements and switch out the plastic.

DAY 18: DEFAULT CASUAL EARRINGS
Dimensions (not including hooks): 1.7cm x 2.2cm
Nothing much to say about this pair except, erm, clovers? Clovers are cute? Stones might be synthetic cat's eyes and I think the metal is zinc alloy. Got these this year during my annual? spring finals stress-induced spree. This category is kind of a joke since my default casual go-to earrings tend to be which ever earrings are the newest; which ever are the ones I just want to wear the most because they go well with most things and deserve to be worn. I mean, I just bought a pair of Ethiopian opal earrings and I bet once those come in (in a few weeks), they will become my default "casual."
