It was with a light, somewhat hurried tread that Orihime made her way through the corridors of the Institute to Urahara's office. It was, by now, a familiar route, and one she had walked many, many times before. She had just taken her morning shower and her hair was, accordingly, braided, because she really wanted to get as little of her shirt wet as possible, because it was a very nice shirt and her hair was still somewhat damp and she was nearly late to therapy and didn't have the time to dry it and she really had to manage her time better ( ... )

Urahara turned his head, hearing the customary three knocks that usually signaled the arrival of Orihime, who additionally signaled the start of the short and unsteady flow of patients that would arrive in the office over the next twenty to thirty minutes. She was always early, and Urahara always had ten or so minutes just to himself with the dear girl.

He enjoyed it immensely. He enjoyed her immensely.

"Good afternoon, Miss Inoue!" he parroted back in sprightly little bell-tones, the ones that were a warning sign to most patients but somehow nonthreatening to Orihime. "I'm fine, if feeling a bit cooped up inside. I would say we should relocate outdoors for some lake-staring, but I'm mostly sure the suggestion will only get grumbles and wasted time from the reluctant."

By which he mostly meant Kurosaki Ichigo.

"But more importantly by far, how are you today?"

"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" said Orihime. She herself often found that she got a little bit antsy, spending a lot of time indoors, which was probably bad of her but she really couldn't help it, and whenever she got fidgety she always did her best to stay still and almost always succeeded. "And maybe if we had the therapy sessions outside Tsubaki and Lily and all the others will be there!" she continued as the thought came to her. "They don't like being in here," she explained, expression earnest -- then stopped, smiled and said, "But I've already told you this, right?" They had talked often about the Shun Shun Rikka ( ... )

Kon was starting to have the sinking feeling that he might be directionally challenged. But that wasn't right, 'cause he had PERFECT directional sense in the city. Then again, the teen was sure the architect of this place was a sadistic bastard somehow related to Daedalus. HE'D BET MONEY ON IT IF HE HAD ANY ( ... )

Hiyori made short work of that decision, and obliged her fellow inmate into a bow. Of course, as with most things concerning Hiyori, it held a certain...ferocity unlike that of any normal person. A nature that was maintained in almost all her daily routines. So true, that even now as her sandaled foot dug into Kon's head (having jump kicked off a bookshelf) a smug grin of self satisfaction glowered upon her visage.

"...he was blocking the door," she muttered deadpan, stepping casually over his downtrodden person.

The office was shit, being that most things Hiyori perceived that were not under her express approval fell under the jurisdiction of shitdom. Urahara was quite possibly the Archduke of Shit, heralded upon a throne of shit, adorned in the finest shit robes, and regaling the shittiest shit to all in his dominion. It appeared now that a princess had entered his chambers to discuss all manner of fascinating things, none of which Hiyori felt the slightest compulsion to inquire about.

"I wanted to have talk...with you..." the ( ... )

Pyon had gotten...distracted on her way to therapy.

Okay so she had actually just tried to completely ignore the fact that she had therapy in favor of locating some delightful frying pans, colouring tools, and her greatest find of the day, a very pretty blue flower.

Maybe if she was really nice, Urahara sir would deliver it to the sad lady.

Or maybe since he said she could be Queen she could just expect him to do so! But Pyon, though she lacked every possible definition and synonym in her knowledge for 'personal space' and 'privacy', didn't often assume people would do what she wanted. In fact, she assumed just the opposite and spent a fair amount of her time trying to do things before other people got around to doing them some other way and inevitably messing the whole world up because you know, then what ( ... )

Kuukaku trotted down the hallway, praying she was finally going in the right direction. She hated being late. She'd sworn to be good, try to be better, do whatever was asked of her - within reason. Ganjuu needed her to set a good example, and Aaron needed to see that she was well. And nothing would be helped if Kuukaku showed up late to her first therapy session ( ... )

Soon, the others started filtering in. Orihime smiled brightly at the new arrival (she didn't know his name -- but he looked so remarkably similar to Ichigo! It was quite odd!). When Hiyori arrived and kicked him to the floor, though, the smile faded. "Ahm..." she began, hurrying over to Kon and kneeling next to him. "Are you all right?" she inquired worriedly, reaching out to touch his shoulder tentatively ( ... )

Kon thought the carpet tasted like dust and tobacco smoke. He wondered if Urahara was a smoker...WHAT THE HELL!?! KON WAS NOT A DOORMAT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It took a moment to register what had happened, having been blindsided to the kick to his HEAD, and the subsequent being stepped on. With his luck, he'd probably have foot prints on his back. It wasn't his fault, his was distracted by beau--!

The heavenly voice inquiring after his safety stopped Kon's thoughts in their tracks. It couldn't be...The tentative touch on his shoulder sent lightning through his body, Kon felt all his muscles freeze and go numb. Looking up Kon knew this is what heaven must feel like, rug burns and delicate touches. SHE WAS AN ANGEL~!

Rolling over and sit up, Kon smiled as best he could through the rug burns, "I'm great now that you're here~!" Kon softly grasped Orihime's hand in his own, bowing over it as best he could while sitting, pouring on all his gentlemanly charm, "What a pleasure it is to meet such a compassionate lady! Pray tell, what is your ( ... )

"Oh, thank goodness!" exclaimed Orihime. "I was worried that you hurt." She beamed at the boy, then blinked in surprise when he grasped her hand. Then she started beaming again. "Thank you?" she said, somewhat uncertainly. She wasn't exactly sure how to react to his effusive praise and enthusiastic manner.

"I'm Orihime Inoue," she continued, her voice brighter and less querying now. This was more familiar ground. "What's your name?"
