This is my first full day off in over two weeks. I am sitting @ EVP working on a talk for next wednesday and hanging with the Heather. Tonight we are brewing a special bitter (SB not ESB ;> ) and getting some WahKee (Chinese food). Tomorrow night the plan is to go to Leather and Lace...

apparently someone has now shot at Eric Cantor's office. This is what I was worried about....its getting out of hand. The Dems and Reps should get together and denounce these unwarranted responses. We have court cases and elections to settle these matters.

I'm upset about Obama agreeing executive order in the stupac ammendment. I dont believe in the executive order or 'signing statement' at all. in Nature from former and current folks involved with the IPCC. Most were not exactly happy about 'climategate' but they were glad that it highlighted a problem many of them had and that is with how global climate change data is disseminated. Was listening to Hal Sparks earlier today whose opinion I generally am uninterested in but he was defending nuclear power from an interesting stance. He argued that people who went for the absolute ban on nuclear power screwed themselves because it was a logical progression forward in energy technology.
