Carlos and I posponed the wedding. We're doing too much school, too much work, and too much money on the new/old house to do anything except dart in front of a j.o.p. for 5 minutes. And we want a real wedding. So stay tuned, we'll marry after we graduate, Dec. 07 or thereabouts.

Carlos and I painted our kitchen "Young-lady-where-do-you-think-you're-going-with-that-lipstick-on?" red today. It is called "Wild Cranberry," on the little card at Home Depot. We went to lunch at JB's Fish Camp, a great seafood dive in NSB, one of our favorites, and then he and I walked across the street to "check the surf." In the rain. So, the inspection is Monday. We're waiting to hear on the financing. The house is 2 bed and 1 bath. Teensy-weensy. I view it as a challenge. Carlos views it as an affront to his stuff. The other day I heard REM on the easy-listening station.

Returned from a kayak trip today. Carlos and I took out 2 Outward Bound boats to an island in the Canaveral National Seashore, an area we use for our groups just south of New Smyrna. Sooo, I get this "evite" for my 2nd cousin Vicki's wedding shower in my email. It specifies the dress as "cocktail casual," with ordervs (copy edit that! ;) beer and wine.
