I got my paper done last Monday, so I'm done with the semester and am On Break until June 12th. (At which point I have 2 weekend classes in a row, which will be stressy, But It's Fine.)
Currently, mostly what I'm doing is taking walks. I'm driving to somewhere random, finding a nice place there, and Being There, with accompanying mask Just In Case ( Read more... ) -

A week or so ago, my computer died. Well, more accurately, its power aquisition source died. It's not the battery, and it's certainly some connection or other and not the HD, but the point is: no access.
Since it's a pandemic and I'm trying to reduce the points of contact, I thought to myself, "Self?"

another thing
Another thing about this Time Of Isolation is that my Bridgewater church went pretty quickly to streaming services -- we were already streaming them anyway for cable TV and Facebook, so the main change was how to figure out things like our Peace blessing (which we mostly call "greet your neighbor"), and coffee hour, and things.

I went and did laundry today, and stopped by the Bridgewater YMCA (which is still closed, but has a nice big parking lot) to take a walk for awhile, because it be gorgeous out there. I knew that I'd be missing my nephew during all this, as in fact I am, complicated a bit by the fact that my brother is now (apparently) neck deep in house hunting, and therefore has surfaced in the past couple of weeks only to send me a present (which was a basket of maple stuff from his area), in response to my sending him one lame present and ( Read more... ) -
