For those of you who aren't subscribed to news , here's an update on the notification problems which are now going on for three weeks.

As suspected, LJ has been blacklisted by Spamhaus (one of those companies who try to keep the spam out of your mailboxes). That's basically due to LJs failure of keeping spambots, mostly originating from Russia ( Read more... )

LJ has announced in its latest newsletter that there's now a cross-posting option for entries to be shared on Facebook and Twitter. By all means, if somebody really needs to share everything, everywhere, please go ahead. I don't have to use this option, after all.

You're all wonderful and generous people, but while I appreciate your comments about "Molly Joyful's Pay Per View" concept, I can promise you that I wouldn't even dream about charging anybody for reading my LJ. :-D I'm on the same page with marquesate there; I feel this would go against the spirit of what LJ originally was supposed to be, and even more so ( Read more... )

I've always been opposed to LJ charging for user-created content. For one, LJ wouldn't exist if we wouldn't provide content, and for the other - why would I want LJ to profit off my writing?

However, I like the plans to give users the possibility to make money with their own content. I don't like ads, and my own LJ is ads free, but if somebody wants ( Read more... )
