So last night I went to a play.  It was at the Las Vegas Little Theater and titled An Inappropriate Evening with Shel Silverstein.  They performed several short scenes whereas sometimes they read straight from Where the Sidewalk Ends and sometimes they interpreted a poem and acted it out and at least one scene I had no idea why it was included.  ( Read more... )

So last night I went to the Fischer Black Box Theatre and saw the play called Neighborhood III: Requisition of Doom by Jennifer Haley.  It was creepy!  There are only four actors who played mulitiple roles and did it superbly.  It's about a group of neigbhorhood kids who got hooked on a video game about killing zombies.  The thing is that the video ( Read more... )

So last night I went to see A Midsummer's Night Dream by Shakespeare.  It was fabulous!  It was performed by the Las Vegas Shakespeare Theater.  They kept the original words but dressed in modern wear except the fairies of course.  They were all great but the actor who played Pyramus (Paul Besterman) stood out. Of course I loved Puck.  He's my all ( Read more... )

So last night Jes had won 2 movie tickets to see the premiere Contagion. We drove over to the Rave Motion Picture theater in Town Square. We walk pass a long line of people waiting outside the theater and approached the table where they had us on a list. They asked us to wait in the lounge until the lady returned. Last night Jules and I went to a play.  It's a murder mystery called Ace of Diamonds.  It went pretty well.  The actors overall were good.  I only  had a little trouble understanding one for he spoke too fast.  I figured out the murderer after the intermission but then the twist came.  It seemed like a short play; it went by fast.  I enjoyed it!

Yesterday I went to the Renaissance Festival.  I arrived around 2 pm and left around 8:30.  I love the costumes.  That's my main reason for going.  Of course I saw the Renaissance dresses and there were megatons of pirates roaming about and some elves and some people walking around with leaves plastered all over themselves and belly dancers.  I was ( Read more... )

Yesterday ter and I went to the Broadway production of Disney's The Lion King  at the Mandalay Bay.  It was Fantastic!  From the opening note to the finale I was transported to Africa and lost in the Pride Lands.  The costumes and props and make-up were beyond excellent.  The theatre itself was beautiful.  The acting was amazing.  The boy who ( Read more... )

So last night I went to my neice's production.  Her dance team performed Across the Universe on her high school stage.  The music was from the original recording from the movie.  She was one of the dancers and did extremely well.  Seniors were picked to perform the major roles ie Jude, Lucy, etc. She's a Junior. Some of the dancers were not so good ( Read more... )
