So I went to Laughlin and relaxed by the river.  The beach (?) was rocky and had a forest of algae growing along the bottom.  Some of it was pretty gross to walk on.  At one point a crawfish tried to eat my toes.  I watched mega load of trucks bring down jetskies and one of them got stuck.  I had to laugh (sorry, dude) until a jeep towed him out.  ( Read more... )

I am home and mostly well if the 26 mosquito bites don't count.  I will talk about the trip more later becuase when I came home hell broke loose.  I was hungry from the two long flights. I could live in this town, but it would take some getting used to with the wildlife and all. When the neighbors saw Gary for the first time they said "I never met him but he bought a car from so-and-so and worked with so-and-so's brother." I met the nicest couple at breakfast. They're there looking for land to "raise things" like goats and babies and gardens. They said they didn't even need a house, a tent would do. I wish them both luck and happiness. Around noon while painting a young deer came walking down the street and went into the neighbors yard. They believe he was abandoned ( Read more... )

Spent the morning painting the house. It has a swirly pattern so it made it a bit harder. The whole afternoon was spent inside cleaning. The house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Last Sunday I left for my trip. Between Holbrook, Az and Albuquerque, NM I was caught between sporadic thunderstorms.
