Big news
So, you know that NaNo novel I was working on for the last 5 months (well, actually, 3 months, as Dec and Jan were NaNo recovery months)? Well, I finally finished it.
Yep, that's right. FOOL'S GOLD is finally finished at 64k. (I had to take out 11k of sex/zombie scenes, which makes the word count so low :( )

Concussions.
So, lately, my reading and writing life has come to a complete standstill. I got a concussion (just a mild one, but still...) on Tuesday night from my laptop falling on my face (how embarassing), so now I can't read a single sentence without wanting to puke and getting the mother of all headaches. So, I know I haven't posted in, like, forever, but here I am now! Yay!

On Writing and People that Write
Today has been the first time in about a month that I actually was able to sit down and just write.
And let me tell you, it was amazing. All my feelings just came out of me, and I wrote my heart out. It's amazing just how thereapeutic writing can be. I feel so completely calm now, without a care in the world.

Australia Day
So, today is Australia Day, a day that makes me ashamed to be Australian, really.
On this day in 1788, the First Fleet arrived in Sydney, and soon after that, began the slaughter of innocent Aboriginals.

So, another week has passed. I've been working non-stop with my dad to save up for a trip that was supposed to happen next week, but sadly, has been cancelled. Grrr. So I'm going to spend the next week just reading and writing and watching Fringe.
