So, I know I haven't posted in, like, forever, but here I am now! Yay!
I've been slowly trudging along with my lovely WIP, Fool's Gold, and for the last few weeks, I've been thinking that I'm so close to finishing, that I only need another 10-15k until the end. But no. No matter how much I write, I never seem to be any closer to the end, even though I've been following my outline. It's funny how that works.
So now, everytime I say, "Oh, I think I'm about 10-15k away from finishing", know that I mean "OH GOD I'M NEVER GOING TO FINISH! WHAT IS THIS? IT'S A NEVER-ENDING PIT OF DOOM"
Yes, you read correctly. Doom.
I hope all your writing woes aren't as annoying as mine.
Also, being a writer scares me. Mainly because I was just randomly browsing over my internet history, and I noticed that if my laptop were to be seized for some reason, I could be in a lot of trouble. On my internet history are pages explaining how to successfully kidnap someone; how to torture someone without killing them; how to fight using a sword; and how to give someone stitches. Among others. I sure hope no one connects the dots and believes that I may be a serial kidnapper who tortures my victims with swords, then fixes them up again. *glances around nervously*
No, but really, I swear it's for research. I SWEAR!!!!
Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I mean, I can't be the only writer who uses the above in their stories... right?
