Been trying to get Yr 11 to understand that they are capable of good writing. They read enough of it (or, I read it to them) that I know that THEY know what I expect. I read so much boring drivel on the train that it prompted me to mimic them. They laughed at it - but it's how THEY were writing! Gah!

I enjoyed it. It forced me to write something, and finish it. Usually I get half way along and give up (I can never get past the 4th line in a sonnet, ya know?). ( Read more... )
