Spinal tap
I was hospitalized last week. I thought I might have had food poisoning (vomiting, painful migraine) and it got so bad that I called 911 and went to the ER by ambulance. Since I had a stiff neck, the doctor was afraid I might have meningitis and gave me a spinal tap (lumbar puncture). Its where they stick a needle into your spine and extract the ( Read more... ) -
Doing okay
Had my colonoscopy on Monday and I think it was mostly good news. The doctor sent some labs, but they think I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and I was too groggy to get all the details when I woke up from the procedure. I still feel very tired and in some ways, sore. But I think I'll be fine. I still have to look forward to a visit with an ( Read more... ) -
Updates yay :D
I had an ultrasound on my neck about a month ago and finally got the results today. I have several small cysts/nodules in and near my thyroid. One cyst is bigger than the others and its the one my doctor is most concerned about. I am getting a followup appointment with my doctor to discuss the scan results further and get a referral to an ( Read more... ) -
Back problems
I've been in a decent amount of pain for awhile, and I finally had xrays of my back and it turns out I have some scoliosis in my lower back and in my si joints (the joints that connect the pelvis to the spine). My doctor thinks it's causing some nerves to be pinched, which results in a lot of pain. Had an ultrasound and the doctor said that whole ( Read more... ) -
Restless Leg Syndrome
Went through a sleep study and got diagnosed with RLS. The medication they prescribed me is really starting to help, though. :) -

Scanner
The scanner I ordered from an Amazon.com seller finally got here! I had a bit of trouble ordering it since the first guy I ordered it from didn't ship it out for two weeks, then I e-mailed to ask about when my item was going to be shipped only to have the order cancelled the next day! Got my new blueray/dvd drive for my computer. Now I'm just waiting for the Megamind bluray to come in the mail fom Amazon. I can almost taste those sweet extra features! <3
