Back problems

I've been in a decent amount of pain for awhile, and I finally had xrays of my back and it turns out I have some scoliosis in my lower back and in my si joints (the joints that connect the pelvis to the spine). My doctor thinks it's causing some nerves to be pinched, which results in a lot of pain. Had an ultrasound and the doctor said that whole area is badly inflamed- no surprise there.

So now I'm on anti-inflammatory medication and muscle relaxants. And just had my first round of trigger point injections which made most of the pain go away. I'll get more injections in a couple of weeks, unless it magically heals up before then and stops hurting. I hope so, because I'm tired of being tired all the time and having to lay in bed because it hurts to much to stand or sit up. :(

I'm not sure what caused the inflammation and the pain, because it came out of nowhere one day and I have never had a serious back injury. I can't even remember the last time I hurt my back, but I have had back pain similar to this a couple of times before. There might be a reoccuring condition that causes it to come back, but no one knows for sure. My doctor will probably want to get a better scan of the area after the inflammation goes down.

So yeah- I'm hoping for recovery to come soon. :)

medication, this sucks, health
