When you've reached a point where you're cutting back your holiday because you're concerned about the project you're working on. Rather than ten days is deepest darkest Africa, it looks like I will be going for a weekend

When I say concerned, translate that to risk of not getting an engraved pen

Suffering an overdose of cute today, with Colleague Appreciation Day. Picture the scene: a giggle of six-to-eight year old Singaporean girls (and I believe "a giggle" is the correct plural), wandering round the office selling either chocolates or flowers (proceeds to charity, obviously) so you can demonstrate how much your colleagues mean to you. Rather pleasant weekend spent entirely out of the office (I know, I know, they were powering the building off so I couldn't go on) wherein I had my team over for supper on Saturday evening. Yesterday saw a most marvellous fifteen hour day; tonight has me dialing in for a meeting with London and New York at 22:00 and tomorrow at 23:00. Thank $Deity for Daylight Savings else it would be an hour later!

Of all the emails I was expecting on a Monday morning, one asking if I had really done the splits in the middle of a bar on Wednesday night was not among them!
