All of the AEs aside from me have short hair. Really short hair, in fact. Unsurprisingly therefore they have been threatening to shave my head for the past six months

Well, I cut mine down from "got caught in my belt" to "#1" (about 4mm, if memory servers me right) for a dress-up gala dinner, that I had to pay for, myself. But, the half-way stage (for the dinner) saw me dressed in black hakama, black kimono and a white gi with blue patterning, Fu Manchu moustache and a top-knot.
No, people at work didn't recognise me the following day (I can't recall if you started fencing before or after the hair-shedding, would've been around September, 2002, if memory serves me right).
I have it only a couple of millimetres when I last cut my hair .. must have been four years ago. Working for a bank has inherant dangers in terms of threatening people with monetary targets; I would be genuiely shocked if they were able to raise 1k let alone 10k, but there's always some smart-arse trader...
When I was on the Rugby team at university they kept threatening to cut off all of my hair. In fact this persisted to the point where I had to turn around and threaten to break the legs of every person who even tried it. I think they got the message and let it drop after that.
It's times like this where peer-pressure really puts my back up though, I imagine that if you worked hard at it you could make the money up in different ways, you're the sort of person who would do such things like ... oh walking across deserts or climbing mountains and suchlike! But to shave your head? Quite frankly the moment someone suggested it seriously, they'd get a very long speech about conformity shortly followed by threats of the like that would get me arrested ... all of which would be totally serious.

(OK, I admit I liked the way I look without it enough to keep it off, too, which helps.)

I've gone for the evil glares as a defence and that has prevented people actually holding my down and shaving me
I wonder if it's seen a threatening to other people, though I'm unsure how it would be, from how much they gone on..?
