Yesterday I and my team were most expertly set up by my boss. Our project last year had been a nightmare of overwork, looming deadlines and ridiculous pressures - in November we had a post-mortem to understand the worst of it and remediate the nastiest bits. Fourteen hours furiously running with a production issue at my desk today, following calls until eleven last night on the same thing. Result? Knowledge of the scope of the issue, with not one whit of evidence to start establishing root cause (though some stuff in place to hopefully find such tomorrow)

As this is Singapore, last night's work seasonal bash saw prizes and prizes draws. I picked up a serious chunk of travel vouchers by winning Best Dressed Man. Climbing onto the stage to collect them was more dangerous than it would have been if I wasn't wearing my kilt. Or was ... nevermind ;)
