So, normally Thursdays are busy enough, but I had extra stuff today.  Here's how my day went, in case anyone cares or is curious.

• 7am: wake up
• 7:20: tell children to get up and hop in shower
• 7:45: fix kids breakfast, fix my breakfast, and pack DD1's lunch
• 8am: tell DD1 to get dressed
• 8:15: out the door to school

By all accounts, I had a reasonably productive day, but I am feeling kind of blah.  I was also somewhat distracted because I was expecting a large order to arrive this morning and when it hadn't arrived by the end of the window, I called.  Turns out, there was no way it could have been delivered today.  I was a little annoyed that no one called to ( Read more... )

• dragged self out of bed at 7:24 am
• showered
• dragged DD1 out of bed at 8 am (dd2 got up somewhere in the middle there)
• made everyone breakfast, drank a Coke,  and got out to Farmer's Market by 9:15
• dropped produce off

Guess what I don't want to do?  Pack!  (Again.)

In lieu of that, I bring you a list of activities we did today:

• sorted pictures
• went to see Irish Dancing at Wolftrap (those kids were quite good)
• came home and ate lunch
• took DD1 for an eye appointment where we were told that she should get glasses for school

DD2 fell asleep at 5 and has basically stayed asleep.  She doesn't have a fever.  A tummy thing is going around school.  I really hope it's not a tummy thing.    Please send happy tummy mojo our way ( Read more... )

DH left the house before 7 am this morning with the car.  Yes, we only have one car. So, there was some walking in my day.  Plus I walked with a friend.  I wish it had been cooler, but it was nice to walk.  And DD2 got invited to her friend's house after school (carpool ride picked her up and took her back to their house) so I got a bonus free ( Read more... )

• packed two lunches
• got one child to school
• picked up two children (different locations) and took them swimming
• went to post office to send a gift back that dh didn't want (no wonder I don't get him presents)
• filled out paperwork for hcap card

We had two social engagements yesterday which basically ate up the whole day.  It was good fun, but didn't leave much time for stuff around the house.

Today I was awakened at 8:30 by two giggling girls with paper bags.  They gave me presents they had made at school (a necklace and a picture frame with a picture of said child in it).  Then they went ( Read more... )
