millionstar asked for my pizza recipe. Here it is. We get eight small pizzas with this dough. Not sure how much sauce this is, because I quadrupled it so we could have some to freeze:) ( Sauce and dough recipe behind cut )
On days I cook, I often spend over an hour in the kitchen. We make a lot of pizza and then eat the leftovers. Mmmm.
We are also picky eaters.
Oh, funny story. I once had a guy come to my door offering free pizza coupons and I told him to get lost. He couldn't believe I never ordered pizza out. I told him the last time I'd ordered take out pizza was when we got married which had been like twelve years. LOL. I have, since then, actually ordered take out pizza, but it's been for the kids, not me.
I am fortunate enough to have wildly wonderful pizza available to me via delivery. I am a pizza snob and generally avoid the chain-store or crappy pizza places most humans will settle for.
That said, I am honestly such a pizza snob that I don't care for homemade pizza. Cuz what I am snobby about is the crust. If you don't have a brick oven in your house, well...
Nope. It doesn't affect the flavor. We used to use sugar. Now we use honey. I don't know. This gives me a very nice thin crust, which is what I like. Also, we can't get 00flour in the regular grocery store.
Perfect; thanks muchly. I am wondering if the fact that I'm no longer using a pizza stone (haven't for a few years now) is affecting my outcome? The recipe I use for crust is eerily similar to yours!
Where did you get your crust recipe? You use oats in it? 0.o. We got ours from Peter Reinhart's book Whole Grain Breads. Oooh, you might be near where some pizza shop he was involved in opened up. I know he lives in NC.
My mother, in her infinite wisdom, decided it would be put to better use in her flower garden - it's a long and stupid story, seriously. I just never bothered to replace it.
Believe it or not I got it from a gorgeous Italian I dated when I lived up north. He didn't have a very good grasp on the English language but man, he was beautiful and he could cook. Lol.
Oooooh. I spent a semester in Italy and fell in love with a beautiful Italian man. It was completely unrequited. He's a darling man though and I got to see him and his wife and two kids when we went last year. He's the only person who seems to understand anything I say. I mean, I get half way there and he totally understands what I'm saying.
I am sure things worked out for the best, but it's pretty amazing to have someone like that. Apparently I didn't understand him:)
Why did I torture myself by read this again and again? I don't even understand most of terms. It's funny that Americans order take away so often. For us just go downstairs and there are food stands and dinners everywhere, either buy them and take it home or just eat there. Pizza are expensive food here, crappy one or not. *drools*
Hee hee. Ask me anything, really. If you have question, I can probably answer.
Well, I don't think the majority of Americans order take away that much. There is lots of fast food that people drive to. In big cities, there might be little food trucks or small shops, but here, where we live, there aren't any. I would love it if we had food trucks here.
:( Pizza can be cheap here, but it's very good if it's chep.
Lol, probably not because we don't even have oven or microwaves in our house. Most of my friends find it weird XD
I blame fic, most of fics make people order take-away, chinese, etc. Ha, it's the way how I know you guys life. My family probably can't live in yours city. We'll get tired by cooking every meal for a week, and then we need to eat out. Now that fridge is in the balcony, I don't even want to cook instant noodles...
0.o. So you can't cook in your house. I have a typical American house. Wait, your fridge is on the balcony? I'd go crazy. I like to cook. Well, I like to eat home cooked food.
My pizza sentence was wrong. If it's cheap, it's not very good.

Dial number, place order, wait for doorbell, pay, eat.
Serves: As many as you want :D
If it takes more than 10 minutes of prep before leaving it to cook, it's too complicated for me.
