Making the house warmer.
House work is going ahead. Back and side by the driveway is ready for the last layer, and back on the other side is started. The front of the house is going to be different all together so we will get the siding and trim up on all the rest first. Another month goes by.
Another exciting month. Had the last weekend of December off (only used 1 vacation day), and worked on projects in the shop. Finished up a few shields and other things that had been on the list. The next week was back to work and another shield done in the evenings. The next week was more of the same, a few shields and another aluminum commission ( Read more... ) -
Catchup.
Quite a bit has happened since Labor day. Here is a somewhat quick recap, Hopefully the pic links work.
Labor day weekend I re-arranged the kitchen cabinets a bit. Ah the joys of the IKEA track mounted cabinets. The microwave used to be one set of cabinets to the right.

Last update was from just after WW. Been kinda busy since then.
At least broke even on the Hardpoints show that was July 15-17. Kinda slow, but I think it got people thinking about the possibilities. Very good, although sometimes lonely week.
After my last post I got things done. I went shopping and got a pair of Vibram FiveFingers shoes which I am enjoying. On the way home from work I stopped and got the CSA, then home to eat and prepare for a GreyCat housecall repair and some shopping. Another year.
Been busy for the rest of the month since the last post. If that surprises anybody at this point you should have your head checked.
Finished up the sundial frame, the shield for Jois, my IML orders, a Hardpoints commission and another armor powder commission as well. I've also done some web work that will hopefully be wrapping up soon, which will ( Read more... ) -
Keeping busy.
Productive evenings this week. Monday I cut and shaped a shield order and cut vinyl for 2 plaques. Tuesday after dinner with alyska I powdered the 2 plaques and did some quickbooks work. Wednesday was practice, where I was able to get the handle and hole layout for the shield. Last night was dinner on my own and then an evening at the shop.

Good Weekend.
Left a little later Friday evening than originally hoping, but still got to the site and techdragon and I were able to setup the tent before dark. Saturday it was up a little after the Sun and time to make breakfast. Scrambled eggs turned out great and it was beautiful weather to sit and eat. Back to all the other stuff
Back from IMrL. The drive down and setup went smoothing and a good time was had all weekend. Sales could have been better, I just made the booth fee in sales (in money, not in profit), and that isn't counting the other expenses (hotel, food, parking). Still going.
Final night of powder coating before IML is scheduled for this evening. If it doesn't get done tonight, it isn't going on this trip.
Thursday night I did an inventory of what was done, and what I could yet try to accomplish. Stayed home Friday and welded. Saturday was vinyl signage for my photo albums and such, working on other signs and making the ( Read more... )
